Update on Agave tequilana at Birmingham Botanical Gardens

It’s that time of year when we’re all thinking of bringing our plants inside for the winter so spare a thought for the gardeners at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Eddie Adams has sent the latest pictures of the Agave tequilana which has started to flower. The plant is 5.95m tall and in the event of cold weather the plan is for five helpers to move it into the subtropical house as it is too big to fit into the barrel arch with the Agave salmiana.
